Encourages suppliers to provide energy efficient and easily recyclable products with low or no hazardous content. But, it's global hazardous waste generation was higher in 2008 than previous years because of re-classification of electronic waste in China and Malaysia. Purchases 20% of its U.S. electricity from renewable sources. Product re-cycling program lags behind industry's best practices, as does its program to reduce use of packaging materials.
