Company Remarks

Heavily dependent on paper-heavy product lines, including disposable diapers and tissues, and has been criticized for sourcing from virgin timber and lagging on recycled content. Has responded with programs to buy from environmentally certified paper suppliers. Has also increased recycled content in certain products. Scott Naturals bath tissues, towels, and napkins contain 40%, 60%, and 80% of recycled input materials, respectively. Environmentalists, however, say the company could still do much more.
